Hello from Primary Five/Six! We want to share with you our learning so far. We began a few weeks ago learning about the Sun, Earth and our moon. We learnt that the earth orbits the sun and the moon orbits the earth. We also learnt about gravity and why larger objects have a greater gravitational pull. We then started looking more at our Solar System. We had a lot of fun thinking of mneumonics to help us remember the order of the planets. Here is one... My Very Excited Monster Jaguar Skipped Under Nana's Penguin and another... My Very Energetic Monkey Jumps and Swings Under Noses! and one more... My Very Elderly Mother Just Sits Until Noon Passes! This week we learned about the distances between the planets and over the next few weeks we are going to carry out our own personal research and find out much more.
